In Scouting today, the modern Scout has to know not just camping and hiking skills, but how they relate to technology and how it all works. Activities will include Archery, Tomahawk Throwing, Climbing Wall, STEM related projects, Patrol Competitions and a Fuse Detroit Techno Show.

Detroit Techno is a sub-genre of Techno Music first showing up in 1987.  What distinguishes Detroit Techno from its European variants is the way it more directly works the interface of funk and futurism.

Each youth will receive a package that includes a custom patch, wrist band, and Commemorative Blinky Badge.

CUB SCOUTS! Troop 179 will offer a meal plan to Cub Scouts by invitation. Register for each meal you would like to join us, or register for the whole weekend. Troop 179 is inviting Farmington Area Cub Packs to Stay or Visit us at the Brownsea Island Camporee. Three Options to choose from:

1.   Visit 179 for Meals: You can purchase individual Meal Tickets for Saturday Hot Breakfast ($5.00), Saturday Lunch (Included by MCC), Saturday Dinner ($5.00) & Sunday Continental Breakfast ($3.00) (You must also register with MCC for Camporee Attendance).

2.   Stay with 179: Includes all meals for the weekend including: Friday Snack, Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Lunch, Saturday Dinner & Sunday Breakfast (You must also register with MCC for Camporee Attendance).

3.   The Whole Shebang: Includes all meals for the weekend, plus we will take care of the MCC registration. Must choose this option by September 19.
