SCOUTING AMERICA
YOUTH TRAINING CONTINIUUM
It is the vision of the Scouting of America to be the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. It is the success of this vision that the Scouting America has built their reputation as one of the finest organizations that a young person can belong to in their teenage years. A very important part of the experience that all Scouts should take advantage of is the many Leadership training courses that are offered.
The core Youth Training Continuum includes three Training Courses: Introduction to Leadership Skills (ILST or ILSC), National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and National Advance Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE). Along with these key training courses the Venturing Program has for our high school aged youth courses required to earn Venturing Ranks. They include Goal Setting & Time Management, Project Management, and Mentoring.
