ANNUAL UTLEY CEMETERY CLEAN UP
Looking forward to the cemetery work session with the Troop #179 Scouts.
By way of confirmation:
Date 05/02/2026 (Saturday)
Time 9:00 am - 11:30
Location Farmington Hills Utley (East) Cemetery
North side of 12 Mile between Middlebelt & Inkster
- (The Utley Cemetery has no parking. Great caution and care should be taken for drop-offs or crossing 12 Mile - if you park on the South side).
- The Historic District Commission (HDC) will provide all the necessary gear and consumables. The ground can be quite uneven so appropriate footwear should be worn.
- The morning will start with a short orientation and explanation of the cleaning process. Two (2) HDC members will be present throughout the morning.
- We will incorporate a game / scavenger hunt activity at the end to keep the scouts engaged.
- Also attached is the here is the link for the release the City requires (https://drive.google.com/file/d/132Vdku6QZvx9UF0iwXaKLwTOd-hCkOjP/view?usp=sharing); please have it signed by a responsible party for each Scout.
I will touch base a couple days before the date (primarily looking at any weather-related / rain issues); would be good if you could confirm the number of Scouts you expect at that time.
