Trip Details
We plan to leave early Friday at 5:30 p.m. for the drive to Firelands Scout Reservation in Wakeman, Ohio. The trip will take a little over two hours. We’ll leave Sunday around 10:00 a.m. to head home.
Venturers should eat supper before we leave and bring snacks for both drives. We’ll probably stop for lunch on the way home, so bring some cash for that, as well as for concessions or souvenirs. Every rider must bring a bike helmet.
Our three current leaders have room for about nine Venturers and their gear, but not their bikes. Anyone bringing a bike will need to arrange separate transportation for it. Some areas of the park allow only mountain bikes. We’re planning for 12–14 Venturers, so we’re looking for additional parents who can drive.
