Dear Cub Scouts:

In 2025 Troop 179 has started a new tradition and we've included all Cub Scouts! The all new CUB-FEST 2025 has been tested, tweaked and is guaranteed FUN! We are excited for many Lions, Tigers, Wolfs, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts to join us for the weekend or the day.

For 37 years Troop 179 has hosted Webelosfest, an outstanding experience for area Webelos. With the introduction of the new Cub Scout Program in 2024 we are now included all Cub Scouts! CUB-FEST is delivered by the Scouts of Troop and Crew 179, and are exposed to Scouts and Venturers aged 11 to 21 presenting and leading small group activities that reinforce many of Scouting core skills and values. 

The date is October 3, 4, and 5, 2025. This year we are very excited to announce that we will be at Multi Lakes Conservation Club located at 3860 Newton Road, Commerce Twp, Michigan. If you are coming for the weekend you should plan your arrival on Friday night no earlier than 7:00 pm. This is to enable us to set-up the camp prior to your arrival. If you are coming for Saturday only, you should plan on arriving around 8:00 am, so that you can check-in prior to the start of activities at 9:00.

Your host for the weekend will be Assistant Scoutmaster Rachael Ayotte. She is available to answer your questions about CUB-FEST or the Scouts BSA program. Rachael can be reached at letsgocamping@att.net. Rachael is also our Membership Chair and is available to work with you throughout the year for visits to our meetings, cross-overs, Den Chiefs, or any other questions you may have about our troop.
