Hanging With Friends In Venturing Crew 179

Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.

In 179 our Venturing Crew meets at the same time as our Scouts BSA Troops and brings to our High School aged youth the benefits of being a member of the Boy Scouts of America with plenty of leadership opportunities and continuing advancement on the Eagle Scout Rank.

Social life is an important aspect and hanging with friends is a favorite activity of all our Venturers. Our Venturing Crew plans trips annually to great places for adventure including hiking the Rocky Mountains at Philmont Scout Ranch, scuba diving or sailing at the Florida Sea Base, white water rafting, climbing, rappelling, and caving.
